✦ How to measure, step by step
Stand naturally, wear the bra you plan to use with your blouse, and ask someone to help if needed. Keep the tape comfortably snug without pulling it tight. Record each measurement in inches and measure twice.
1 · Measure your bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest area of your bust and all the way around your back. Bring both ends together at the centre front of your chest and hold them there to read the measurement. Keep the tape level around your sides and back, breathe normally, and record the circumference in inches. Do not use an under-bust measurement in place of your bust measurement.
2 · Measure sleeve length
Find the outer shoulder tip, where the shoulder meets the upper arm and a sleeve seam would begin. Measure down the outside of your arm to where you want the sleeve to end. Record your desired sleeve length in inches.
3 · Measure blouse length
Start at the high shoulder point beside the neck. Bring the tape down over the front of the bust to where you want the blouse hem to sit. Measure to your desired blouse length, rather than starting at the under-bust line.
